A plain Jane 1966 Corvette coupe sold new for $4,295.
You will literally have to dismantle the entire instrument cluster to access the ammeter. that includes separating the steering column from the steering box ( under hood) and lowering it down onto the drivers seat. I.E. It's also better to remove the steering wheel and set it aside. You will need room to work as you dismantle the cluster, P.S. Label all the bulb and instrument wiring as you go or you'll be real sorry when you reassemble it and find out that you've put bulbs in the wrong locations. Remedy: you guessed it. Take it apart again. Overall time to R & R gauge, approx. 5 to 6 hours. Good luck !!!
You should use 327ci 300hp 1966 Corvette engine oil ;)
1966
Start by disconnecting the wiaring connectors from the wyper motor in the engine bay, then remove the glove box take off the clip take loose the arms then take out the bolts.
There are many places where one could purchase a 1966 model Corvette. Some of the best places to look for 1966 Corvettes would be place like eBay and Auto Trader.

you must push in on the door panel at the knob. There is a u-shape wire clip that is on the back side of the knob. There is a tool that cost about 5.00 that will unsnap the clip or you can make a hook shape tool from stiff wire to remove the clip.
Yes.
