remove radio from a grand marquis 2003
It will If you willing to do the work the radio harness is different and the radio trim bezel changed in 2003 so you would have to make it work.
I just did this. You can simply use a butter knife to GENTLY wiggle the bezel from it's fixture. Try inserting the knife near the crease points on the dash.
Bet you 1 dozen doughtnuts that the answer is yes. There were virtually no changes made between the 1999-2003 model years.See "Related Questions" below for more about Windstar radios, but for you, it should be a very simple exchange.
push open the ashtray to give yourself room to fit a flathead screwdriver to the bottom left of the bezel, do not remove the ashtray. pry up the bottom left part of the bezel, then the bottom right, then the middle left, then the middle right, then the top left, and finally the top right . the bezel should come right off. remove the five connectors attached to the bezel by pushing down on the taps and pulling them out. next remove the four Phillips head screws at each corner of the stereo. pull out the stereo and remove the wiring harness by pushing down on the tab and just pull out the single black antenna wire.
Removing the factory radio is very simple. All you need is your truck key and a 7 mm socket. First, start on the right side corner of your dash bezel (It seems to have a better finger hold) and pull. The dash bezel is held in be snap clips. Then start pulling your way around the whole bezel until all is popped loose. Now, to remove the loose bezel out from around the steering wheel, you will then have to tilt the wheel all the way down. If your truck has the shifter on the column, you will need to turn on the ignition switch without starting it. shift the lever all the way down (low gear). You just tilt the bezel torwards you and lift out. Use the 7 mm socket to remove the 3 screws holding the radio. Slowly pull out radio until you can reach the back side. Unplug antenna and wiring harness. If you are installing an after market radio....you will lose your warning chimes (the "ding, ding, ding")without the factory radio. You will need to purchase an after market wiring kit made for the truck. It is about $80.
