You have to push in on the seat cushion in order to unhinge the hold downs. Once you get it loose, take it out and you'll have a couple of bolts holding the seat back in. Take these out and then you'll notice some plastic plugs holding the package shelf in. Pop these out and pull it toward you. You'll have to pry the covers off the speakers anad then you remove the four screws holding each one in. Or if you have a short enough screwdriver, you can bypass taking the seat out and just pop the covers off and remove the screws. ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// I have a 93 geo prizm Ls and i just did this today. The part of the back seat that you sit on is held down by two plug type latches. If you pull up on the seat cushion in the front and center of the each individual seat the bottom should come out pretty easily. This will expose three 12 mm bolts that hold the seat back in place. After removing these bolts lift up on the seat back. It has latches at the top so be careful. After removing both seat parts go inside the trunk and use a pair of pliers to squeeze and and push the plastic plugs in through the metal deck. This should allow you to remove the rear deck, although, totally removing the rear deck should not be necessary for changing the speakers. Only lift it up just enough two get a screwdriver in. Replacing everything should be self explanatory. Just pay attention to the seat belts and you may need to use your knee to get the seat bottom back in place.
