well first disconnect the battery cables, then find your starter located by the transmission, most starters have a 2 bolt mount and 3-4 wires bolted or screwed to the starter first remove the screws/bolts for the wires then remove the mount bolts holding the starter in place and remove the starter. some vehices do have an extra bracket or 2 simple also usually held in place by 1 or 2 small hex head screws.
