Their is a special tool to remove manual crank window cranks and it will work for almost any car. You can pick one up at auto zone

Oh wait...do you mean a vehicle? If you do, you should mention which vehicle. If it's a Chevy S-10, then you need to get a crank remover. It looks like a U-shaped magnet on the end of a screwdriver. You slide the tool between the the crank and the door panel to trip the lock pin, then the crank will pull off.

most all window crank handles these days are the same, look just behind the handle where it meets the trim panel and you should see a metal clip passing through the handle plastic. With a small hooked tool grab the end of it and pull towards the knob.
