It's just a matter of removing the 6 hex bolts an pull it out. Then, grab the spare hubs and bolt them in. Yea, indeed all Suzuki hubs fit.
yes on suz. just bolt them one. on geo trackers 97+ it gets tricky
I put auto hubs in place of my manual ones on my 92 kick. there is a plate held by 4 screwes behind the hub that must be removed b4 the auto hubs will mount. but that is the only trick to it. do not remove the axle locking screws by accident our you will have one. 97has spring lock but other years be careful.
Locking hubs were not an option on this vehicle as built for the united states. If you truly have them this vehicle needs a mechanic eye to tell you how to replace there are many types pf locking hubs available after market additions
The auto locking hubs on the 1991 Trooper are prone to failure so yes its a good idea to replace with manual locking hubs if you plan to keep the vehicle for any length of time.
Sometimes using a pair of vise grips will allow you to turn the hubs back into the FREE position.
put it in 4x4, and it does it for you. or install locking hubs for 50 bucks.

pull them off and put new ones on...problem solved
If your sidekick has automatic locking hubs, step 1 loosen the cover an oil filter wrench works well.2 loosen the 6 mounting screws.3 pull the hub assembly off the end of the half shaft.when installing put a new o-ring,make sure the the tab on the hub, fits into the notch on the spindle. If your hubs are manual, remove the front wheel, remove the caliper, install 2, 8mm bolts into the threaded holes, and tighten evenly. This will remove the rotor from the hub assembly, thread a bolt into the axle shaft, and pull the axle toward you, remove the snapring.then remove the hub. this is right out of the shop manual. Hope this helps.
