The first thing you do is check to see if your van falls under the massive recall that Ford had for this very part, chances are it does. I believe that the Ford recall number for this particular part is 11S16. If in fact it does fall under the recall just go to your local Ford dealer and tell them that it is recalled. Just so you know, most of these vans also have a recall for a defective rear axle as well.
