i would just get the entire drive axle..do it your self, it may ba alot cheaper.Hope this helps
You don't, you replace it.
Usually underneath near the back axle.
the speed sensor is located on top of the transaxle near where the right side drive axle is attached . remove the two wire electrical connector and the retaining screw and pull it out. reverse the procedure to install.

It would be recommended to replace the rear axle bearings and axles when they are worn/bad. If the bearings and axles are okay, just replace the seals.

the Chevy cavalier does not have a drive axle, it has cv (constant velocity) shafts, which are faitly expensive to have replaced, but the part itself is not terribly expensive, my dads 2003 Mazda protege's shaft was $140 Canadian, just don't go through your dealer they charge way more ($480 in this case) but they take quite awhile to replace so the labor costs are quite high
If you replace the entire cv joint axle in MD you will have $82 in the new axle + labor in a garage $40-$60 per hr. I did it myself. not a bad job.
