P0050 HO2S Heater Control Circuit Bank2 Sensor1
symptoms
Other than the MIL light illuminating you may not notice any performance issues.
cause
A short in the O2 sensor heater circuit or the sensor itself
A faulty O2 sensor heater
Wiring or connectors are broken or frayed to the sensor or relay
Bad PCM or ECM
The fix
Correct wiring short or loose connector found in inspection.
and/or
Replace the bank 2 sensor 1, O2 sensor
Replace PCM if circuit has failed and no wiring issues present, good O2 sensor
Heated oxygen sensor heater circuit malfunction (bank 1, sensor 1): Open or short in heated oxygen sensor heater circuit Heated oxygen sensor heater malfunction (Haynes Repair Manual)
Highly doubtful because the circuit has to be there to power up the heater in the mirror.

You will need to replace the heater core.
9 time out of 10, the heater circuit internal to the sensor has failed. Replace the sensor.
The heater core, in a Saturn and 1200, is held in place by four bolts and two water hoses. Remove the bolts and the water hoses. The heater core will come out. Reverse the process to install the new heater core.
yes the entire dash has gotta go
Bank 2 sensor 2 refers to the oxygen sensor on the passenger side of the exhaust system and after the catalytic converter. heater circuit is the oxygen sensor or the wiring going to it, it is what is called a heated oxygen sensor. Google image search oxygen sensor and that is what it looks like, and they can be a bear to get out.
it means that the heated circuit decreases time that is needed to enter. When the O2 heater reaches it's right temperature the oxygen sensor commmunicates by switching according to exygen content of the exhaust that surrounds it.
The heated O2 sensor located on the exhaust header pipe directly after the exhaust manifold on the passenger side of the engine is probably bad, replace it.
where is the heater block on a 2004 saturn vue?
