very large job. release the fuel pressure. remove fuel tank. disconnect the fuel feed, return, and vapor line as an assembly from the top of the fuel tank.remove the 5 nuts around the ring washer holding the pump in place.lift fuel pump out of the tank. CAUT-ION. do NOT bump the float or unit againstt the tank or it will alter the accuracy of your gas gauge.I recomend replacing the rubber gasket around the opening of the tank. remove the strainer from the lower end of the pump.if it's dirty, clean it. if it is too dirty to clean, replace it. lift the locking tabs to release the fuel pump cover from the frame. if you need to separate the pump and sending unit, disconnect the electrical connector and note position. disconnect fuel line from pump. separate pump from assembly. installation is reversed.
