Begin by removing all of the pulleys from the front of the engine. Remove the front engine cover. Remove the timing belt. Reverse the process to install the new timing belt.
eagle made it, eagle was later bought out by Chrysler Actually the Eagle Summit wagon was made by Mitsubishi. I was also marketed as the Mitsubishi Expo LRV and the Dodge Vista wagon.

To replace the water pump on a 1992 Eagle Summit, first, disconnect the negative battery cable and drain the coolant from the radiator. Remove the drive belts, then take off the timing belt cover and timing belt to access the water pump. Unbolt the water pump, clean the mating surfaces, and install the new pump with a new gasket. Reassemble by reversing the disassembly steps, refill the coolant, and check for leaks.
Eagle Summit was created in 1989.
The 1993 Eagle Summit is based on the Mitsubishi platform, so engines like the Mitsubishi 4G63 (2.0L turbo) and 4G37 (1.8L) are compatible. Additionally, parts from the Mitsubishi Expo and Mitsubishi Galant from the same era may also fit. For specific components like suspension or brakes, parts from other Mitsubishi models from the early '90s, such as the Mitsubishi Mirage, can often be used as well. Always verify compatibility before making any replacements.
The 1995 Eagle Summit with a 2.4 L engine is classified as an interference engine. This means that if the timing belt were to fail, the pistons could collide with the valves, potentially causing significant engine damage. Regular maintenance, including timing belt replacement, is crucial to prevent such failures.
where do you plug in a diagnostic machine on a 1992 eagle summit?
Operation Eagle's Summit happened on 2008-08-27.
I am pretty sure the Expo LRV and the Eagle Summit wagon are identical. Mine has the 2.4L engine, there was also a 1.8L engine. The 2.4L version is a 4G64 type engine. There should be a metal plate on the back of the engine compartment that states the engine type. (In the center just below the hood.) Just make sure that the engine you replace it with is the same type.
The final year of production for the Eagle Summit was 1996. The first Summit hit the road in the United States in 1989.
The 1993 Eagle Summit can accommodate several engine options, primarily from the Mitsubishi lineup, as it shares components with models like the Mitsubishi Mirage. Common engine choices include the 1.8L inline-four and the 2.0L inline-four. Additionally, some enthusiasts have swapped in engines from other Mitsubishi models, but such modifications may require custom mounts and adjustments. Always ensure compatibility with the vehicle's transmission and electronics when considering engine swaps.
