Take out the nuts holding carb to manifold off of studs or remove bolts if that's the case, Remove any linkage so carb can be removed. Your new spacer should come with 2 gaskets or you can obtain separate. Scrape off old gasket material carefully so none goes in manifold (stuff rag in there) Replace with new gaskets both sides. Carb gaskets are always dry-NO Sealer. Snug it down but don't overdo as you could warp the flange or damage ears on carb. Remember a divided plenum helps your bottom end and the bigger the ram the better your top end but you lose some drivability at bottom.
