split the fob halfs and the battery will be on the backside of the board!
If you mean the one of the gages like fuel or temp, they're in a cluster that has a circuit board for all of the instrument panel and you have to replace the whole cluster.
replacing dash board lights
The lights are soldered on the circuit board. You either have to purchase a new circuit board from the dealer(stupid!) or if you are handy with soldering, you can remove the bulb from the circuit board and replace with an aftermarket bulb.
For the 2002 it was way up under the dash board on the driverside. We had to take the dash off to get to it. Ask at auto zone... they helped us.
I had the same issue. In the instrument cluster there are 3 boards. The smallest board with the odometer and transmission status displays also has the 4 lights for the back lighting. This board is plugged into the main board and can easily be changed. Theses lights short out and cannot be changed out individually, the only thing you can do is replace this board.
via an on board dash reading
Fan speeds are usually controlled by a series of resistors on a circuit board. When some speeds don't work, it means that you have to replace that little circuit board. FriPilot
On the oil pan there is a cap you unscrew, and inside there is a "card board filter", that you would pull out and replace.
Yes, your tail lights will go out when your dash board lights go out.
it is likely the blower motor went out. It is located under the passenger side dash board. The plug goes bad in them and the new ones are hardwired in. to fix wiring. turn blower on, and see which one lights up this is your power, should be black, the orange or red is the resistor wire that controls fan speed. hard wire these back into new motor and replace. Note: if you get the wiring order wrong the fan wont work properly. replace and you should be good to go with a 8mm nut driver or socket. there are 3 bolts, but it is not easy to access.
Mine was an earlier model, but the fuse box was located inside a panel at the end of the dash board. You had to have the driver's door open to see it. Check there, or just under the dash near the steering wheel.
