The best way i was told was to remove your taillights then to remove the four bolts on each side that holds the bed down .Once they are removed you should then either remove the bed or prop it up make sure that it is secure. Don't want any injury's then you should be able to get to the fuel pump with no problem's. If done this way you don't have to worry about removing the gas from the tank disconnect the wires remove the retainer clip pull the pump out an replacen it took me about 1 hour
