To the left of the hazard switch (if like my mk 4) you have 2 x switch socket covers (black plastic covers). Pop off with a small screwdriver the cover nearest to hazard switch, then you can get your fingers in behind hazard switch body and easily pop it out (no damage or force necessary). Once the hazard switch is proud of the dashboard the hazard switch is removed by simply uncliping it from connector block.

∙ 15y agoYou should be able to pry the front button of the hazard switch. Underneath (looking from the floor view) there should be a hole/cutout for a standard screwdriver to access. The switch is behind the button. (per my haynes manual) Hope this helps. DC
