Normally the wires and plug in can be purchased at the GM dealership. Will have to cut the wires back if they are melted and solder the wires together. Can also use a heat shrink butt connector to connect wires. Recommend the heater resistor be replaced and the heater blower motor be checked for wear or noisy bearings.

There are heater-resistance wires in the glass of the back windshield.
Remove plastic air duct from under passenger side dash, and you will see a white ceramic rectangular resistor with a couple wires sticking out on the firewall by the blower motor cover. Remove screws on the resistor and remove wires to replace.
There is a resistor located in the blower housing. It may be under the dash on the left(passenger) side. It will have two screws holding it in and have three or four wires plugged into it.

Its very easy, go to your local GM parts counter and order a pigtail for the blower motor resistor harness, all you need to do is cut and connect the appropriate wires together and youll be all set.
You must remove the glove compartment door to access the blower motor. On top of the blower motor will be wires connecting to the top. Release the connecter and let it dangle. Then using a screwdriver, remove the blower resistor on top, where the wires connected, and replace with a new resistor.
On the passenger side under the dashboard, first remove the fire panel and unclip the light. The resistor is towards the far back in the center. There are some screws that are kinda hard to get to, but it is possible. Unclip the wires on the old resistor and remove the screws and remove the resistor. Then place the new resistor where the old one was removed from and replace the screws, attach the wires. Now re-attach the light to the fire panel and replace the panel.
It is located behind the coolant and windshield washer reservoirs. The two wires on the blower motor will lead you to it.
On '94 its behind motor under dash on passenger side Passenger side on the bottom of the heater box. You will see a plug with 5 wires on it. Thats the resistor remove the two screws that secure to the heater box and remove it.
it should be on the top of the heater core box in the engine compartment, it will have a wires running to it
Remove your glove compartment. Look to the right side inside. Look for 2 screws, remove 2 screws. Lift up on wires, unplug wires from resistor. Plug in new resistor into wires. Screw the screws back in, reinstall glove compartment.
