Gently pry the black plastic rectangular piece from around the shifter. Unplug the lighter assembly. The chrome plastic piece needs to be removed by prying the 4 clip locations. The green bulb will now be visible and can be pulled out by using a pliers with light pressure. Insert the new bulb the same way. The job is easier than you might think. Bulb # 168G. Package of 2 from Autozone for $4.00.
