How do you replace the drivers side headlight bulb located on a 2001 Ford Ranger Edge?

go in behind it and there is a black retainer that you have to unscrew and then the bulb pulls out similar to how you replace tail light bulbs in older model vehicles go in behind it and there is a black retainer that you have to unscrew and then the bulb pulls out similar to how you replace tail light bulbs in older model vehicles if you remove the plastic strip on the top of the headlight under the hood...and then lift up on the two little levers the headlight will flip forward and give you EXTREMELY easy access to the bulb raise the hood. you will see a black cover under over the headlights and grille. remove it. then yo will see 2 black vertical bars that have a 45 degree bend in them that points toward the rear. pull up on the bars. there ar "key-hole" shaped holes in them so don't pull too hard. look down the bars and you shoud see 3 black rubber knobs. 1 on the inner bar(towards the grille) and 2 on the outer bar( towards the fender). align the knobs with the large hole in the bar. then just pull the headlight assembly straight forward. use a small flat bladed skrewdriver to lift up on the connector lock. BE VERY CAREFUL, Ford uses a brittle plastic in the connectors. take care not to break the lock or you will have to buy a new connector. pull the connector apart. turn the brown(or black)ring counter-clockwise. remove bulb. be careful not to touch the new bulb, it will burn out sooner or explode if you need to replace the turn signal bulb, just turn it to the left and pull the bulb out of the outlet. the corner marker are a little more tricky. the headlight has to be out, then you'll find a small hex screw in the corner, rermove it.then gently pull the housing straight out. turn the connector to the left and pull bulb out of the outlet. to put it in you have to make sure the wires are at the correct angle, then just reverse the process
