First thing is to unplug the negative wire on the battery. Then go to the back seat and take that off. you will then see a 5" diameter rubber cover in the middle and take that off. once off, you want to disconnect the wire harness and fuel line; the book and other bs will say you can changes it from the inside of the car but they're full of it. Next you need to jack up the car from the passenger side of the car between the front and back tire. also note that the passenger rear tire needs to come off. Before you go any further, you will need to drain the tank to were you only have 1/3-1/2 a quarter tank. you can do this through the inside of the car where you remove the wire harness and undo the clamp which the fuel pump plate is attached (you will need a siphon $12@autozone). Once you complete that go under that passenger side and disconnect the fuel pump (just take the filter completely off and note that the "in" side of it goes to fuel tank). Once done start unbolting the tank braces/straps. You will need to take off the muffler plate then the tank straps. The tank should drop at that point; if not, try detaching the rubber muffler mount on the driver side then pry off the tank from the gas filler nosal on the passenger side. Next, you need to get under and pull out the fuel pump casing. At that point you will need to disassemble the casing to remove the fuel pump. You will also need to note that the fuel pumps can be made differently. One will have the harness mounted and the other will have the harness attachment. Once replaced, follow the instruction backwards. The most difficult process can be relining the the gasket under the car which the fuel pump casing seats on, the reattaching the metal clamp that holds it.
