first off remove a lot of things from the quad. usually the motors are pulled out of the left side of the frame. you will have to remove the chain, foot peg, shifter, exhaust, carb, air cleaner, and all the mounting bolts. then have someone help you pull the motor out because its hard to do by yourself and you woulndnt want to risk dropping it. once you have the motor removed from the frame set it in a motor stand. you could simply make it out of wood if you dont already have one. just take four 2x4's and make a box that your motor will fit in so it doesnt move around on you. then you will have to take the cam chain cover off and then the cam chain. take a wire hanger or any miscellaneous wire laying around and loop it around the chain so it doesn't fall down to the bottom of the motor. take off the cam chain tensioner and from there after you have removed the tensioner you can take off the for bolts holding the head on. after removing those bolts you can take the head off. be extremely careful when taking this off so you dont scratch the cylinder walls. once having the head off pull the old rings off and replace with new ones. this will take a ring stretcher. also make sure not to put the rings in upside down because the quad will not run. you might also need to get the cylinder honed out depending on if there is any damage done. i have done quite a few ring replacements and my very first one was the hardest just take your time and your quad will be up and roaring in no time. you'll also feel the increase in power
