How do you replace the spark plugs on a 1994 Nissan Altima?
Yes, all gasoline cars have spark plugs. However, the 2005 Nissan Altima does NOT have spark plug wires. Instead, they have what are called ignition wires. They perform the same function as a spark plug wire but are more efficient. However, they are not easily replaced by a shade tree mechanic and often require Nissan dealership assistance for removal/replacement. Hope this helps.
When replacing spark plugs on a Nissan Maxima 1995 remove the spark plug covers by twisting until they come loose. Use a socket and wrench to turn the spark plug to the left until it is released from the vehicle. Repeat for all spark plugs. Screw the new spark plugs into the vehicle and replace the spark plug covers.
You will need a general screwdriver, a spark plug socket, a socket wrench and and extender, a wire brush and a silicone dielectric compound. You should find more of these tools at SEARS or your favorite car parts dealer. You will need a spark plug wrench with an extension to replace the spark plugs in a 1998 Nissan Sentra.
