Pull the old one out and push the new one in. Depending on what year S10 you have, they have the relay mounted in different places.

You have a starter/ignition switch mounted in the steering column and you have a starter solenoid switch that is mounted to the starter.

The starter is located under the oil filter. You have to remove the front skid/guard plate because once you have detatch the starter and the oil pressure swith just above the starter(you will see is after you unbolt the starter). The start will have to be pulled out to the front. It'll be tight but it does come out, I just did it. You may need an ignition relay in the process depending on the mew starter.
