Another answer might be that it is directly above the brake pedal mounted to the right of the steering column.
Remove serpentine belt, by loosening tensioner(15mm box end should do it). Tensioner is located above the water pump and below alternator. Remove the three bolts from alternator mounting bracket, install new alternator, then replace the belt. I've found it easier to use a large flat screw driver as a prybar, while turning the tensioner with a wrench, to place the belt over the alternator pulley.

well there could be many reasons is it making any noises is it turning over you may need to charge your battery. let me know and ill let you knw
