How do you replace windshield on 1984 full size Chevy pickup?

first you have to remover the center strip molding on the main windshield molding. located in the center.spliced ends are at the bottom of the windshield always. pull it out by hand once you pop the end out. use a thin putty knife to make sure any sealant is loose. starting at a corner, slowly push out and work the molding under the edge of the windshield. DO NOT PRY ON THE WINDSHEILD. if you force it by prying under it , you will crack or break the edges. push out on it from the inside. usually works best by pushing the putty knife at the right angle so that the outer molding is being push away and up from the windshield. once you get it started, you'll see how easy it comes out. to replace, put the glass in the track starting from the bottom and work your way up both sides.
