Here are the instructions from the manual. Try these first. (They did not work for me so I have alternate instructions below.)

1. Deactivate alarm if equipped.

2. Open drivers door, get in vehicle and close door. (all other doors closed)

3. Within 15 seconds, turn ignition to ON position and back to LOCK position 10 times.

Leave key in ignition.

Horn will sound once to indicate you have entered programming mode.

4. Within in 45 seconds:

A. Open and close drivers door.

B. Press LOCK or UNLOCK button on remote you want to program.

Horn sounds twice to indicate remote was programmed.

5. To program additional remotes repeat steps 4A and 4B for each remote

Horn will sound after each remote is programmed.

6. When the last remote has been programmed remove key from ignition.

Horn will sound three times to indicate exit of programming mode.

7. Test remote(s).

Here are alternate instructions (that worked for me):

Programming Instructions:

  • Press remote UNLOCK button to deactivate alarm.
  • Locate and record remote transmitter ID number located inside the remote on the little white label.
  • Open Driver's door.
  • Close driver's door.
  • Within 15 seconds: Turn ignition key to ON position and back to LOCK position 10 times.
  • An acoustic chime will be heard letting you know you've entered into programming mode. (I did not hear the chime and the following still worked.)
  • Within 45 seconds:
    • Open driver's door.
    • Close driver's door.
    • An acoustic chime will be heard until you enter the remote ID number. (I did not hear.)
    • Press LOCK button on the door control panel the same number of times as the first digit in the remote ID number. (I heard some tones during these steps.)
    • When the digit has been entered press the UNLOCK button on the door control panel.
    • Repeat procedure for the entire ID number a second time.
    • An acoustic chime will be emitted once to indicate programming complete.
  • Repeat ID number entering procedure for any additional remotes being programmed.
  • Check the operation of all the newly programmed remotes.

Extremely frustrating experiences based upon a variety of different information. This worked for me. i am a do-it-yourselfer and not a mechanic. Saved me $38. I would have taken it to the dealer but they told me the instructions in the manual should work (the first set I posted), and they would charge me for their time.

Good luck
