There is a video on YouTube for clearing a check engine light on a Nissan. Im not sure the year, I never tried it on a Nissan "AND don't recommed it" with a (14 pin connector)it says to jump pins 6 and 7. If your in the US we have a different connector (16 pin) the video has a link that has a picture of which pins, but it says 2000-2002. I would just use/buy a scan tool, auto xrays makes one that goes for around $100 buck, plus you can use it to read/scan multiple makes/models/year. Another option is to have a mechanic do it for $20, a lot cheaper than having to replace the $$computer$$ if you jump the wrong connectors.

∙ 8y agoDisconnect both battery cables from the battery, then touch both cables together for several minutes. This will drain the capacitors and clear the ECM memory.
