Computer/ECU/ECM is behind the center console on the 'hump' between the driver and passenger. Good luck on getting it out.
You don't actually connect it to the ECM but the port located under the driver side of the dash.
simply take the battery cables off from the post and leave disconected for an hour or so and it will reset everything
Disconnect the battery for about 1/2 hour and then re-connect
take off the negative cable for 10 sec. or so, that should clear all the codes and reset the computer.
You can disconnect the negative battery cable for a moment to clear the codes in the ecm but, if you have a check engine light that is on, it may come back on again until the reason it came on is fixed.

most of the time all you have to do is pull the terminal wires off of the battery for a couple minutes then put them back on.
