reverse solineoid leads
car/truck and marine Clockwise and counterclockwise rotations require different cam shafts.
disconnect the battery, get under the car and take the 2 bolts out of the starter that hold it in and they you will need to remove the wiring on the starter and it's then out, to reinstall just reverse the directions.
To reverse the rotation of your engine you will need to reverse the firing order of your spark-plugs. You can do this either on the distributer or on the engine itself. After that you will need to have a new cam made to match your new reversed cylinder firing order to allow air to enter and exit each cylinder appropriately. Now you will be abled to drive your car foreward by putting the transmission in reverse, any other gear will make the car move in reverse.
Get under the car, find the starter, take 2 bolts and some wiring off, put the new one on in reverse order.
The back end. Most car starters turn counter clockwise
Disconnec battery Starter is located under car where engine meets tranny, remove the electric connectors Remove starter mounting bolts Install new starter in reverse order of removal
disconnect the negative side of the battery. raise car and from underneath, disconnect the solenoid wire and battery cabble from the starter motor solenoid, remove the 2 starter motor boltsremove the starter and note the position of the starter shim if equipped. some cars don't have it. installation is the reverse.
Disconnect the Battery Negative (black) Cable & secure away from post. Jack up car & remove under cover. Disconnect the large & the small cables from the Starter. Remove the Starter mounting bolts. Remove Starter. Installation is reverse.....
where is the starter located on the car?
you jack up the car, make sure that you use jack stands and blocks behind the wheel.. then from underneath the car you will see a cylindrical object. there are two bolts that attach this to the block. but first you need to disconnect the battery and make sure that the car is cool.. the exhaust is close to the starter. then go under the car and disconnect the wires to the terminals on the starter.. then you can take off the starter bolts using a 9/16 socket. do the reverse for installing the new one..
Make sure the Car is in PARK, if it is in gear like Drive or Reverse, the Car won't start even if the battery and starter are fine.
