oto-san or to-san... i think it's the most common way to address your father in Japanese and chiciue can be used to refer to your own father but is not used to address your father. The term to-sama is a more formal.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It is written as 'otousan' but the alphabet 'o' is silent.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Father:
Otosan (Common/Standard; Addressing your father or speaking about somebody's father) Oh-Toe-San
Otosama (Formal; Addressing your father or speaking about somebody's father) Oh-Toe-Saw-Muh
Tochan (Less formal; Common; Addressing your own father) Toe-Chan
Chichi (Only in reference to your own father) Chee-Chee
Oyaji (Only in reference to your own father; Impolite) O-Yeah-G
Papa (Becoming popular with young children; Usually only in reference to your own father)
父 (chi chi) is used when you are mentioning your own father, considered humble and polite. You might hear derivations of the same word used in different circumstances, like 父上 (chi chi u e) which has 'ue' in the end (suffix for respect) when talking to your father it is a formal way to address him but not so common.

父さん (tou san) is for when you refer to someone's father, or your own in an informal asual way, usu gets an 'o' in the beginning, also a prefix for respect which makes it お父さん (o tou san). For further respect and formality you might also hear お父さま (o tou sa ma), no difference but just in the honorific.
父 (chi chi) is main Kanji for father, common derivations of it are 'chichi ue', 'chichi oya', '(o)tou-san' and so on, each used in different situations.

The Japanese use different words to refer to one's own father and someone else's father (as well as other family members).

(My own) father - 父 (chichi)

(Someone else's) father - お父さん (otousan)
