Actually, both of the above answers are wrong. In the Spanish language, they would not address themselves using either ser/estar. Even though in English we commonly say "I'm Jesse" what one is really wants to express is that their name is Jesse. Therefore, you would simply say "Me llamo Jesse" or "Mi nombre es Jesse".
