According to Holt Science & Technolgy (Phisical science text book)pass a magnet over the mixture and the iron filings will be attracted to it.

Iron filings are made from iron, and so are magnetic. Thus, the easiest way to separate iron filings and water is to use a magnet to attract them out of the water, then dry them on some filter paper. Alternatively, you could filter the mixture (either using normal filtration or vacuum filtration) and again leave to dry.
The best way is to use a solvent to remove the oil. Then you filter out the iron filings and dry them.
Place a magnet over the mixture. Because iron is a magnetic material and salt is not, the iron fillings will be attracted to the magent, allowing the two materials to be separated.
You separate sand from iron filings with a magnet since iron is magnetic it should come and be attracted to your magnet.
With a magnet.
use a magnet
Magnet & water
A magnet will pull them out.
#1 remove the oil by separating funnel , the oil will float on the water. #2 magnet to remove the steel filings (Note the spelling) #3 filter to remove the sand . #4 evaporate to remove the water , and leave the salt.
In order to make iron, the following equipment must be used: shovels to unearth the iron ore, a crucible in which to heat the iron ore, a heat source in which to place the iron ore, a receptacle in which to pour the heated iron, a cooling area with liquid (often oil) to quench (or rapidly cool) the hot iron, a forge on which to shape the cooled iron and a forging tool (hammer or roller) with which to shape further shape and cut the iron to the desired specification.
Crude oil is made out of hydro-carbons which causes the oil to separate out in a particular oil. The different fractions of carbons work independently from each other.
By using the boiling point of each substance to separate it out
Oil and water seperate spontaneoulsy.
You could just use a magnet, but if you're using the oil for cooking, just buy more oil. You're not going to get all the filings and you shouldn't ingest them.
You use a magnet to get the iron filings out, then you add water to the rest. Create a funnel out of a paper cup, pour it through which you would then be able to get the poppy seeds off the funnel. Then you would boil the water to separate the salt from the water.
AOC is Accidently Oil Contaminated and COC is Continuously Oil Contaminated.
The purpose of lubricating oil is to carry away any impurities, such as filings ground off of moving metal parts, because they will harm the engine. When there are a lot of filings floating in the oil, it is not good for its purpose and should be replaced (changed).
Iron nanoparticles can be used in the remediation of contaminated soil in certain cases- see related link. The clean up of an offshore oil spill is different. Much of the spilled oil can not be recovered, however they are trying to mitigate the harmful effects by selective burning, skimmers, dispersants and containment booms.
First, use a magnet to get the iron nails out because iron is a magnetic material and will be attracted to the magnet. Now what you have left is the water and oil. Fortunately, oil is less dense than oil and it will float on top of the water. Use a separating funnel to tap the water out from the bottom and collect it in a container. You can also use a spoon to get the oil out from a container which contains the oil and water since oil floats on the surface.
To remove contaminates (metal filings, dirt etc.)
#1 remove the oil by separating funnel , the oil will float on the water. #2 magnet to remove the steel filings (Note the spelling) #3 filter to remove the sand . #4 evaporate to remove the water , and leave the salt.
Iron will float in oil in most cases. However, for iron to float in oil, it must have a density which is lower than the oil.
No, It is contaminated with dirt.
Fish oil supplements contain adequate amounts of iron.
It has emulsified. Become contaminated.
