How do you set the spawn point in minecraft multyplayer?

your spawn point is randomly generated, you cant create your own one without an outside program.

in the newer version ( 1.5 and up) your main bed* is your spawn point

main bed* most resent one slepped in.

Craft a bed, then place it where you want your spawn to be. Then sleep in it for one night, and when you wake up, that is where your new spawn will be. Please note that if you destroy your bed, your spawn point will reset to the original one.

You can have multiple beds, but the spawn point will only be the bed that you last slept in.
