remove distributor cap, turn crankshaft until the heel of the breaker arm is on the highest point of the cam, now check the gap.
If it needs adjustment insert a screwdriver in the notched hole in the contact breaker plate and hold it still while you loosen the retaining screws, turn clockwise to increase, counter clockwise to reduce size of gap,check with correct feeler gage, then tighten screws.
