Yes! This is a good brand! TCL is the 5th largest TV seller in the world.
All you need is a TV tuner card that has "AV in" facility. From your Set Top Box connect the AV cord to your AV in port of your TV tuner card and you are done.
I've read elsewhere that Logitech Harmony universal remotes will work using RCA codes, they suggested L32HD31 as your TV to get it to control the TCL tv and comcast. I have used 10047 and 11781 as the remote code for a TCL LCD TV on my Comcast digital adapter remote. They are each RCACodes, that work perfectly on TCL , as RCA is owned by TCL.
On some TVs their are another set of AV inputs in the back of the TV (or front if you are using the back). So look closely around the back. Otherwise you will have to unplug whats there.
...got the same prob last week. the only answer to the prob is a remote control coming from the distributor... you can search the net for the distributor of the TCL TV you have. they will ask you for the tv model. any remote control won't do, it must be a TCL RC alone.
Not sure a out your model but try codes for RCA. I have a 24" TCL tv and the code that worked for Direct GV was 11447. Good Luck
It appears the TCL 55" uses RCA codes. Give RCA codes a try because they worked for me -- in my case, code 333 worked for my Avex R6 (URC-RC) Universal remote control. Maybe the other TCL TVs use the same RCA codes.
This depends on where you plug it in.Nearly all TVs have an 'AV' setting somewhere, and 'AV' jacks on the back or sides of the TV. If you plug your Wii's AV cable directly into those, just set your TV to the 'AV' channel when you want to play.If your TV has more than one AV channel, it'll say somewhere on the TV next to those jacks which one to use, or just try all of them.If you use a component cable with five leads, select the 'Component' channel.
I just found a remote code for my TCL L40FHDM11 tv: 651. It works, but I still have to use the remote that came with the tv to turn it on & off and for volume.
