It is very important to let a professional sharpen your clipper blades. It takes precision tools, experience, attention to detail, and a "knack".

Sharpeners are very cheap to use, and they cost far less than replacing blades.

Unscrew the blades. You should have one loose blade with the teeth along the edge.Take some fine emory or wet & dry paper anplace onto a flat surface.Take the cutting blade & place flat side down onto the paper.then hold the blade flat against the paper & start to move in a figure of eight pattern.Make sure the blade stays 100% flat & in contact with the paper.5 or ten minutes of this shouls sharpen the blade.

When placing the blade back on the cutter make sure the teeth are aligned in between each other.

Where can one purchase dog grooming clippers?

Firstly, you will need to live in a state that allows the operation (it is illegal in the UK and some states in America). Secondly, find a licensed veterinarian that can perform the operation. Do not attempt it yourself. Your dog will need to be between 8 and 12 weeks old and the operation will likely cost between $250 and $350.
