You have to keep turning all the sides randomly and rapidly until you get it or get close

One thing that helps people that don't know how to do algorithms, you can go by the center square for each side. If you look at it, the centers are all different colors, for example, if the center square is blue, then that side is supposed to be blue.

To solve the Rubix, start by choosing a color to be on top. Keep that color on top the entire time. The color on top will be the color of the center cube on the top surface.

The first series of steps involves constructing a cross on the top of the cube in a special way. The cross must be the same color as the center cube, but also, the cubes that form the arms of the cross must match the color as it goes down the side. Once you have the cross, you go to the next series of steps.

The center cube has one sticker. The cubes that form the arms of the above mentioned cross have two stickers. The next steps involve the corner cubes, which have three stickers. With your top cross properly constructed, each missing corner piece will contain the top color, plus the two colors of the adjacent sides. It's these two colors you search for on the bottom corner pieces. If they are there, position the corner cube directly under the intended corner. If the top color is on one of the sides, you can continue. Take the side column that contains the top color sticker and "bring it down" so that the intended corner is now on the bottom row. Depending on whether you used your right or left hand to bring it down, either move the bottom row left or right. Then move the side column back up into position. You'll notice the replaced corner now contains the top color. If the top color is on the bottom side of the corner, use either hand (doesn't matter which) to move the column down, and shift the bottom two moves away. Then move the column back up into place. The top color should now be on one of the sides. IF the two colors you seek are not in any corner pieces on the bottom row, it means they're on the top, probably out of place in one of the other top corners. Just shift a column down so that it moves to the bottom row (making sure that the top color does not get moved to the underside) and move the desired corner piece away from that column. Replace the column, and your piece is on the bottom row.

Once you have correctly positioned the corner pieces in the top row, your next series of moves involve the side pieces on the second row (there are four of them). If the side piece containing your desired two colors is on the bottom row, then you can continue. The desired side piece has two colors, and one of them matches the center cube in the second row. Move the bottom row so that they line up. Then, determine whether its desired position is to the left or right. Move the bottom row one turn in the OPPOSITE direction. You will then follow a series of maneuvers to "place" that side piece where it needs to go.

1) Hold in your right or left hand the column that contains the desired location. Move that column down.

2) Turn the bottom row towards that side. (so if you used your left hand, turn the bottom row to the left, and if you used your right hand, turn the bottom row to the right).

3) As the opposite of the first step, move the column back up.

4) As a repeat of the second step, turn the bottom row whichever direction you turned in the second step.

5) Now take in your hand the "column" that is facing you and rotate it "toward" the direction you turned the bottom row. (If you turned the bottom row to the right, rotate the front face clockwise, and if you turned the bottom row to the left, rotate the front face counter-clockwise).

6) As the opposite of steps two and four, turn the bottom row in the opposite direction that you have been. (If you've been turning it left, turn it right, and if you've been turning it right, turn it left).

7) As the opposite of step five, rotate the front face in the opposite direction that you did. (If you moved it clockwise in step five, move it counter-clockwise, and if you moved it counter-clockwise in step five, move it clockwise).

In my head, once used to the maneuver, I think "down, towards, up, towards, over, back, back."

If the side piece containing your desired colors is not on the bottom row, that is because it is in the middle row somewhere out of place. Performing the above maneuver will put another side piece in that position, so that the desired piece gets displaced to the bottom row. From there, you can correctly perform the maneuver.

Once you have successfully placed all the middle row's side pieces, you will find your cube 2/3 completed, only the bottom row left.

But first, you need to see which of these three scenarios is true about the bottom corners:

A) All four corners have the sticker colors that match the three colors of the adjacent sides to each corner.

B) Two of the corners have sticker colors that match their adjacent sides.

C) Only one corner matches its adjacent sides at any one time.

If A is the case, you can move on to the next step. If C is the case, you must do something to make it so that B is the case, and then something can be done to make it so that finally A is the case. Now, if B is the case, you will perform a series of moves that is reminiscent of how you fixed the middle row. Using your right hand, grab the column that contains both of the correct corners. Follow steps 1-7 from above. Then locate the missing edge piece and use the same steps to put it back in. This will give you 4 "correct corners". If C is the case, follow the steps for B using ANY two corners. This will result in 2 "correct corners" and then B will be the case, as above.

Once you have 4 "correct corners" (I put them in quotations because the 3 colors are right, but not necessarily in the right order), you need to look on the underside of the Rubix Cube. You're looking for a cross, similar to what we created in the very first step, only with the bottom colors. You may see the cross, in which case the bottom color is on all the arms of the cross. Or you may see a case in which two of the arms have the bottom color such that an "L" is formed. If you have the cross, then go on to the next step. If you have no arms the same color as the bottom center cube, then randomly perform bigs and smalls (see below) until you have an L. If and once you have an L, do the following:

i) Orient the bottom so that the top, and right arms of the cross are the same color as the center. It will look like an L, versus a J or a lower case r or the mirror image of a lower case r (7?).

ii) Move the middle column down. (I move the middle and the right down, then move the right back up).

iii) Turn the bottom row to the left.

iv) Move the middle column back up.

v) Turn the bottom row two to the right. (or 2 to the left)

vi) Move the middle column down again.

vii) Turn the bottom row to the left.

viii) Move the middle column back up again.

You should see the cross on the bottom. (No religiousness, honestly).

Once you have the bottom cross, randomly perform the aforementioned bigs and smalls until you find that the following is true: Along the bottom row, there will be 3 sides that have two of the same color right next to each other, and the remaining side will be 3 different colors. This will take you to the final step.

But first, a big is the following sequence: down, away twice, up, towards, down, towards, up.

Oppositely, a small is the following: down, away, up, away, down, towards twice, up.

Big: in your right or left hand, move the column down. Then turn the bottom row "away" meaning towards the other side twice. Move the column up. Move the bottom row "towards" meaning towards the same side. Move the column down. Move the bottom towards again. Move the column up.

Small: in your right or left hand, move the column down. Then turn the bottom row away. Move the column up. Move the bottom row away again. Move the column down. Move the bottom row towards twice (or away twice).

Once you find that you have two of a kind, two of a kind, two of a kind, 3 different, orient the cube so that you have the 3 different side facing you. Turn to look at the bottom of the cube. There will be the cross and one additional corner cube the same color as the cross. If the extra cube is on the top left, perform a small on the opposite side using your right hand. If the extra cube is on the top right, perform a small on the opposite side using your left hand. If the extra cube is on the bottom left, perform a big on the same side using your left hand. If the extra cube is on the bottom right, perform a big on the same side using your right hand. Top means small and opposite. Bottom means big and same side.

You will hold in your hands a completed Rubix. I can do it in under 2 minutes consistently. Practice and you will be able to too. There are even faster ways of doing it that I just have not had practice with. This will work though.
