well....... i am on my forth pregnancy now, i am 39 weeks, i took caster oil with my third and labour began with in 2-3 hours after taking it, but this time around i have tried it all currys, treadmill, sex, even caster oil but none of the above has worked, so i really dont think you can start yourself off, it will just happen when it is ready too, and there will be some people who will disagree but that is my theaory, as i would have swore by caster oil last time and this time it did nothing, my body just must have been ready for it then.......

At 39 weeks, it's normal to be in labor. An exam of the cervix could stimulate the uterus.

i want to know the same thing. I am 39+4 weeks pregnant with my 1st. Had a show this morning. Do wonder when could i go in to labour?

The doctor gives you medication to soften the cervix and a drop to start contractions. Starting labor, and especially before you are due at 37 weeks, is something only doctors do.

There are 39/7 = 5 weeks and 4 days in 39 days, since there are 7 days in a week.

The doctor wont do that unless the cervix and body is ready. I know it's uncomfortable but if they do it when the body is not ready, the labor can be harder and longer and that is not something you want.

39 days is 5 4/7 weeks, or 5 weeks and 4 days.

Around the time that your baby is due to be born, give or take a few days/weeks.

A normal pregnancy lasts 38-40 weeks. Starting at 37 weeks is not too much to worry about - lots and lots of babies come early.

I had this happen with my first child at exactly 37 weeks & it was the start of labor. Contact your OB/Gyn or midwife ASAP & they will tell you what to do. Mine told me to head to Labor & Delivery. Good luck!

Labor can happen anytime after losing your plug. Even though you have lost your mucous plug it could still be a few weeks until labor starts.

Im 39 weeks pregnant and have got constant stomach ache too. It doesnt matter if Im sitting down, walking or lying down, my stomach is constantly aching. I would like to know what it means too.

Inducing before 39 weeks is dangerous for your baby, who would be born a preemie. Don't do it.

It varies with every woman. You can't necessarily estimate how long it takes. Some women can lose their mucus plug at 28 to 36 weeks and still don't go into labor for a few other weeks. Losing your mucus plug is a good sign that your body is preparing for labor, but it is not a sign that labor is imminent.

It will start when it will start. Sometimes stripping membranes will speed up the process, but not in any predictable fashion. Women's bodies seem to be hard wired (genetically) for a given gestational period (how long she stays pregnant). A normal gestational period for the human species is 37.5 to 42 weeks, but most women tend to deliver about the same time with each pregnancy.

I am also 39 and a half weeks and is having the same thing. My doctor told me it just from the baby pushing down so hard and shifting its body around. Also your body is just getting ready for labor. But it normal. Good luck.

when did china labor start

User Avatar

No, there are 52 weeks in a year. 49 weeks is just 3 weeks short of that. So 49 weeks from the end of September will bring you into early September of the next year. Between the end of September and the start of July of the following year is 39 weeks.
