PUT A NEW BELT ON IT
rub soap on the belt
You can spray it with a LITTLE belt dressing but don't overdo it. It also may be caused by sosmething not being alignied in the pulleys.
"Squealing" is usually from the belt or brakes. use belt conditioner to stop a squealing belt.(usually sold at walmart) you can probably figure out how to stop squealing brakes. but if not they need to be replaced. people need to start reading those owners manuals the car comes with.
Replace the belt.
Change the belt
Adjust the belt or replace it with a new one.
Just a guess, check the alt. belt.
you probly have a belt slipping, a can of belt dressing should stop the sound
It is squealing because it is loose or worn out. Tighten it and if that does not help, replace it. If it is a serpentine belt, just replace it and check to make sure the idler tensioner is working properly.
Replace the tensioner. Stop it from getting wet by making some sort of shield to prevent water from getting to the belt.
This is most likely your belt squealing and not the clutch itself. Try some belt dressing available as a spray on from all parts store. If this stops the squealing you have a varnished belt and probably should replace it soon.
Well if it's squealing it either needs tightening or replacing. Once it squeals for a while it will get glazed and never stop squealing. There are products you can spray on it but an old trick it to rub a wax candle on the bottom of the belt with it running, just be careful. There is also a tab rubbing against the steering wheel. This tab (i think) sends signals from your horn but im not sure. I solved my squaling by placing somthing between the tab and the steering collum.
Buckle the seat belt.
The power door locks on a Dodge Caravan can stop working if the fuse is bad. Check the power door lock relay fuse that is located in the engine compartment on most Dodge Caravans. It should be next to the battery.
If the drive belt is squealing, then one of two things is wrong. Either the belt is loose or it is worn out. Adjust the belt tension or replace the belt.
Check all belt driven accessories to see if one has a bad bearing or is binding
Just pull it out. It simply pops in place.
Frequently while slowing down to my 1991 caravan stops. I have to turn the key and restart it or it will stop completely. Why does this happen.
The power windows on a 1997 Dodge Caravan will stop working if the motor has failed or the fuse is blown. Replacing the fuse and checking for incoming power are the first steps to troubleshooting this problem.
Get the widest, stickiest tires you can and it will pull harder without squealing.
At times the odometer will stop working, then it will shift hard. 1994 Dodge Grand Caravan
There are belt dressings available, but they are messy and need to be repeatedly reapplied. You can try coating the belt with bar soap. That will stop the squealing for awhile. It sounds as though the belt is getting hard and unable to grip the pullys as it should. You should probably replace the belt before it breaks out in the middle of nowhere in the middle of the night.
