Will the front brakes on a 95 Ford Crown Vic P-71 work if there is a leak in the rear line?

If the leak is bad then no if its slow they will work as long as there is fluid in the system. Once the fluid is gone you will not be able to stop. Using the breaks will pump more fluid out of the system making it harder and harder to stop. Using the breaks can also make the leak rupture unexpectedly causing the breaks to fail causing serious injury or death to you your passengers or a third party.
