Well, you can try reasoning gently with them, but if that doesn't work, then you obviously can't really do anything to stop the fighting. Just make sure that it doesn't get too violent.

Hello,
I've heard that "make them sit down and talk" thing and trust me it never works. There is no easy why to make two friends stop fighting. I have been in the center of fights before and it's not fun, I was 10 and I felt like cutting because I was so frusterated. The way to do it is to refuse to be friends with either of them until they work it out, mabye even say it like this "I can't stand it when the two of you fight, it hurts me, if I'm going to be friends with either or both of you you both need to work it out and smartin up." It worked for me:)
