There are many reasons that your nose could be stinging. It could be because of having a cold and using too many rough tissues or blowing your nose too much. It could also be because of harsh products, like sunscreen, lotions, or acne medicine that you put on your face. There are several tactics you can use to easily end this pain.

1. Flush out your nose with cold water.

While this provides only temporary relief, it will keep your nose from burning for a very short period of time, and can help heal the soreness. Just remember to hold your breath!

2. Use Aloe Vera.

This soothing ointment should help to heal and cool your burning, stinging nose. Sometimes, however, the aloe may sting on a stinging nose. If this is the case, wash the ointment off and flush out your nose with cold water before choosing a different method.

3. Apply Vaseline or Petroleum Jelly.

This can help soothe and soften the skin, as well as heal the inflammation. It helps moisturize dry skin, so you can use it if you have flaky skin or a sunburn, too.

4. Pretend you're a baked potato- Use sour cream.

This may sound odd, but it's usually one of the best ways to relieve stinging in the nose. Simply rub a thin layer of sour cream on the area, and it should instantly cool and refresh your skin. If the cream is natural, it will also help reduce redness and inflammation.
