Mr. President I am American citizen, I am feeling much unappreciated. I have served this country for over twenty three years of my life; servicing both in the Army, then the Navy. I have been fighting for my entitlements for over ten years to no avail. I feel the folks in the Board Veterans Affairs has blacked balled me, due to my lack knowledge of submitting for my benefits, I made the mistake of having my medical records to sent them for consideration. Needless to say, they denied my claim after sitting on my records at the board for more than five years. I finally had my case reopened with the proper guidance. But, I fell on hard times back in January; this was when I discovered I had pancreatic Cancer. Things have been going downhill from this point, anyone knows that when cancer hits your body, things do get better; but they get worse. But, the folk at VA seems to have very a little compassion for people in my situation. I feel they are waiting for me to pass away just to avoid paying, or giving me my entitlements. For ten long years I have fought this battle, my condition is getting worse, but they do not see a need to increase my disability rate, or provide any type of support for my situation. I didn't realize unto now, how heartless this country could be. But, I want believe that this country cares for all of its veterans. Then I look around to see others, who have fewer challenges than I have, but they are enjoying a 100% disability; they can probably do a full PT test. But, my health is fading away, and I am not entitled to any more benefits. My question would be, how can we put a end to all the unfairness, and other favoritism being shown in this seemly unjust process.
