I just went through the hassle of changing a couple of links out of my Fossil watch. There are different kinds of Fossil bands. If yours has arrows pointing in opposite directions then it is simple. The pin can be tapped out in either direction. Find a pin that is small enough to fit into the pin hole on the watch links. Then take a small hammer and tap them through. It is best to have the link hang over the edge of a piece of wood so you are tapping the pin out the other side and not into your work surface. I used a nail to start the pin moving then grab it with pliers and pull it out. Once you see the pin out of the link you will see how simple this is.

How do you remove steel links from a Casio LA670W wrist watch strap?
Metal links have two ways that they link. Lay the watch on the side so that the band is facing up. Look at the side of the band and determine if there are tiny "dots" at the end of the link. If there are, these are the connecting rods and they must be pushed out from one side or the other. For this, you will need a paper clip, needle nosed pliers and much patience. Place a white piece of paper under the watch, then carefully push the paper clip (unbent) into the "dot". It will start to move, so keep applying pressure to the dot. When you have enough room, you can pull the rod out with a pair of needle nose pliers. Remove both linking rods, then take the link out. With the pliers, start to push the rod back into place. At the very end of it, use your paper clip to make the rod level with the link. If your watch has a clip where the band fastens on, remove the clip to adjust the band. Several bands have this adjustment, so try this first.

Hi, If your band is the same as mine this is how you do it. My band has little arrows inside each link. The arrow shows the direction that the pins that hold the links together must be moved in to remove the pins and thus the links. To do this take a thumb tack and locate the end of the pin on the side of the band opposite the side that the arrow points to. You need to push very hard to get the pin to move. Once it does move it will stick out on the side Get some plyers and pull the pin the rest of the way out. Once you remove enough pins and links to get the band sized correctly, push the pin back in so that it is oriented the same as it was before. You will need to force the last bit of the pin in place. To do this I used the flat side of a standard screw driver. I hope this helps
