you need 1.25'' wrench to open because this thing is plastic you need extra care to open
use a 1 and 1/4 inch socket to remove oil filter cap.
On the top. Under the engine cover. It is a cartridge style filter. It is in an aluminum housing with a big cap on it. You take the cap off, and remove the filter. It's very easy, and much less messy than a spin on filter.
The oil filter in the 2007 Saturn Sky is located under the hood right in front of the intake manifold. You will want to look for a black cap that has a raised hex on it. The filter is located underneath this cap.
top left side of engine. it is under a black plastic cap. You will have to unscrew the cap to get to the filter. It is a cartridge filter not a normal oil filter, you change it from the top of the engine
Remove oil filler tube cap....then Wiggle and pull straight up.
Look on top of the engine right by the firewall. If you stand on the left side and touch the oil filler cap, the filter is to the right and down. Use a flashlight to see the cap on top of the filter.
You access the oil filter from under the hood. On the front right side of the engine, about half way down, locate a 3 1\2 to 4" round black circular cap with (I think it's 30 or 32mm) "nut" on top. Unscrew the cap. The filter will come out with the cap. The filter is a cartridge style filter.
This engine does not have your typical screw on style filter. It is just a cartridge. If you look on the drivers side of the intake manifold you will see a black cap with a big hex on the top of it. That is where the filter is. Remove that cap and replace the filter. This is for the oil filter!!!!!!
I just read that you remove the filler cap and then the large plastic shroud will lift up. The filter is in a canister on the side of the engine to the front. The filter is an insert, into the canister, not like the old spin ons.
under the hood
Counterclockwise.
tranny filler cap is just about under the air filter has red cap. take battery out then air filter housing.
