Remove the two screws in the buttplate. You should see three holes in the stock. Remove the screw from the center hole, it will be very long and should have two washers. Remove stock from receiver.
as your looking down the gun, the gauge should be stamped on the left barrel back by the stock.
Hi, I sold a Fox Sterlingworth shotgun for my brother in law, about 4 yrs old, sold for $750. Not sure what gauge, can't remember that far back. It belonged to his Dad.
I have a single shot 94h 20 gauge that my parents gave me in 1970, the stock and forarm are missing due to abuse and the bolt that holds the stock on is missing .I checked sources for the stock and for arm and you are looking at about 80-120 bucks if you can find them. value on the gun who knows , they cost about 50 bucks new from sears back then.
Many gunsmiths will have one or two in the back room, or you can order from Numrich Gun Parts at the related link.
The age of the Savage Model 9478 .410 shotgun depends on the serial number and could date back as far as 1960. The value varies with condition, but in good condition this shotgun sells for about 100 dollars.
If it's new take it back, if not well that's up to the seller and you to figure out. It's not all that uncommon to buy a mismatched gun/box I've seen it numerous times and it's not a collector!
You cant. Its a very old Belgium made S/S.... nobody carries pre-made replacement stocks. You will need to have one custom made.
no its the 8 gauge side by side Elephant Gun..a very deadly shotgun!! no its the AA-12 Actually it goes farther back than a 8 gauge there a some shot guns that are mounted on cars because the are that powerful.
Ou can shoot your self in the back of the head with a shotgun,by leaning the stock of the gun one the wall while pressing your head agIanst the berrel, reach back and pull the trigger
YOu need to contact a factory trained gunsmith
I would have to assume that you have a semi-auto shotgun. If your shotgun has a slight hump to the back of the reciever then it was a shotgun made with a browning patent and would have to be listed on the gun along with the royaltys paid to his patent.
I have one I am tring to find information on. Nothing out there? The one I have is a 12 gauge with what I guess you would call a folding breech plug and a firing pin on it that is fired by pulling back a hammer that looks like the old flintlock hammer.... It has B336 branded into the stock?? What the heck?
