i have always known it to be the color of the band right above the beak,,: if it is blue color it is a male and if it is a pinkish color it is a girl
The band can also be a purple color in which case is a male, or a brown or whit color which is a female. I have two parakeets.
Usally the male will have a dark blue cere and female will have a light brown, pinkish cere.....(a cere is there nose).
look at the cere or "nostrils" above their beak blue: boy brown:older girl pink:girl
their nose (cere) if female: brown or pink if male: blue (the older the parakeet, the heavier the color of his/her cere; the younger the parakeet, the lighter the color.)
You can tell the gender of your parakeet by the colour of the strip of skin above the beak. It will be blueish if it is a boy and pink or brown if it is a girl.
No. They are not sequential hermaphrodites.
both male and female
You can not. They have to choose to be mates for what the other one does. Kinda like we do. Also, they might be the same gender.
females ar more quiet because they are less territorial towards other birds.
If the band at the top of the beaks are the same then chances are good they are the same.
well i will tell you my parakeets name cause the people i tell it to laugh her name is nanner paco sanchez!!!
ask the breeder or person who sold it to you
the gender is a guy you can tell
PARAKEETS!
The possessive form of the plural noun parakeets is parakeets'.Example: The parakeets' cages are cleaned daily.
No. The gender is not related to the relationship of the parents.
