How do you become a thief in sims 3?

you have to have a sim with he kleptomaniac trait. After 8:00 P.M, go into anybody;s house and go into a room where nobody's looking. click on the floor and choose the steal something command. And then, the sim will steal something.

I can tell you because I just stole a counter. First, you have to be a kleptomaniac then you get really super friendly with the owner or the owners wife ( you might have to date them ) and then you just enter the house and steal something

Note: I think this only works with counters. Whether or not you can steal other things is unknown to me. hope it helped and good luck with that stealing ;-) P.S. This info is coming from a 10 year old!

You can join the criminal career, or if you have the klepto trait you can go into people's houses and steal things.

First you have to have one of the traits of the person you want to steel things be kleptomaniac. Than when no one is watching you click the floor and choose take something.
