How do you test the fuel pump on a 1994 Toyota 2 wheel drive pickup?

The one way I know of is to measure the pressure at the fuel rail. While off, look at the end of the EFI rail and look for a connector. Hook up a pressure gauge (most part stores sell these) and then turn on the vehicle so the fuel pump runs but the engine isn't started. Look at the pressure. Start the engine and then check the pressure. You will have to look up the fuel pressure values. I believe (its been a while) the fuel pressure should be around 70 psi less than 60 you may have a fuel pump problem (again I'm not positive on the numbers).

You may need to check your transfer case

It's just in front of the rear passenger side wheel... the same side as the gas door.

A transmission from a 1993 Toyota pickup will fit into a 1994 Toyota pickup. The Toyota transmission will not fit in to other makes and models of pickups.
