To get oil pressure - you have to either tap in the existing pressure sending unit's oil port or get a sandwich adapter plate - that fits between the oil filter and the block. In any case - you will need an oil pressure sending unit and appropriate gauge to go with it.
i dont konw
I located the oil pressure switch but it hard to get to with out having to remove other parts. Any easier way?
On installed transformer a test is performed to check weather it has any oil leakage or not, the test is called pressure test, more precisely pressure leakage test.
You probably have a stuffed oil pump or possibly a crook oil pressure sender. when it comes to oil pressure always start of by thinking the worst stop driving until you KNOW what the problem is.
It's oil level or pressure. If level ok, pressure test.
Defective oil pressure sending unit? Try installing a manual gauge to check oil pressure Could be excessive engine wear due to mileage Weak oil pump
it is the oil pressure sensor. Check your oil level, then test your oil pressure sensor.
You will need to run an oil pressure test with a pressure gauge.
the answer is yes. since the tensioner is hydraulic and require oil supplied from the oil pump to add pressure to the sleeve/guide.
Remove oil sending unit and replace with a mechanical gauge
It should be right above your oil filter. It's a grey plastic part with an electrical connector attached to it. Good luck!
If you are dealing with a 1.8 engine, it should be the same as my '94 - directly behind the alternator.
