You can buy or rent a chipmunk trap that you fill with seeds, peanut butter, nuts, cheese and small berries. However, it's illegal to catch a wild animal. You should buy a tame chipmunk instead.
How do you tame a wild chipmunk?
There are TONS of chipmunks at my camp and are so tame they will let you pet them, pick them up, kiss them, and if we leave nuts in the house and our screen door open, they will come it and help themselves. Basically, find a chipmunk, and everyday, leave some nuts out (we mostly use sunflower seeds and peanuts). After a while if you know they are taking them, find a chipmunk and crouch low to the ground with nuts in your hand and let them get closer and take some. Do this quite often and after a while you will notice they are trusting you more and more. That's how we do it at my camp!
